HP Films Named Favorite Children's Adaption

The Harry Potter series has been voted Favorite Cinematic Adaptation of Children's Literature by a recent LOVEFiLM poll. Report showed the Harry Potter series came in first place with twenty-five percent of the 1,500 plus respondents saying the book series by author J. K. Rowling was their favorite adaptation.

"It's great to see that the classics in our poll such as The Wizard of Oz still capture the imagination of adults and kids alongside newer adaptations such as Harry Potter which continue to keep us spellbound." said LOVEFiLM's Helen Cowley.


The full list of Favorite Cinematic Adaptation of Children's Literature is as follows:
  1. Harry Potter series (2001-present) - 25%
  2. The Wizard of Oz (1939) - 18%
  3. Watership Down (1978) - 15%
  4. The Railway Children (1970) - 11%
  5. Mary Poppins (1964) - 10%
  6. Shrek (2001) - 7%
  7. The Chronicles of Narnia: The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe (2005-present) - 5%
  8. Matilda (1996) - 4%
  9. The Witches (1990) - 2%
  10. Charlie and the Chocolate Factory (2005) - 1%
