Dan Radcliffe Apologizes For Not Being at Comic-Con

In a new interview with Daniel Radcliffe (Harry Potter) the actor expressed his regret for not attending this weekend's Comic-Con:

"I apologize to all the wishful thinkers for my disappointing non-presence," Radcliffe said Monday by phone from London.

The actor, who has finished some post-production voice work on the last "Potter" film, says he is still grappling a bit with the concept that he will never wear the robes of Hogwarts on screen again. He still cares deeply about "Potter" fans, though -- he sounded genuinely distressed to hear for the first time about the wildfire rumors that led fans to believe he would be at the San Diego pop-culture expo that wrapped up on Sunday.

"Really? Oh, God, I had no idea. I suppose it's like when I'm at Reading Festival and I hear that suddenly some amazing band is going to play a surprise gig and then it turns out to be total fiction."

Later in the article he also discusses a comment Tom Felton (Draco Malfoy) made at Comic-Con about how he cried on the last day of shooting:

"You know what, I'd love to libel him and call it a lie, but, darn, he's absolutely right. We all three of us -- me, Rupert and Emma -- we just wept. And I've never seen Rupert Grint cry. That was really weird."

Of course they wept – it truly is the end of an era. :o( I think it’s great that Dan and Tom Felton don’t mind admitting it. (Rupert needs a hug!)

I so so so so so so so so so hope they’ll show their reactions to the end of filming in the DH dvd!!!

TLCCast Melissa & Mugglcast Andrew record their about the events and news surrounding this panel, as well as give a rundown of the new slew of "Deathly Hallows" footage which were shown at the event.

The LeakyMug is now available via our iTunes feed, as well as via direct download here.

In this LeakyMug, Melissa and Andrew discuss the new footage, which includes glimpses of:
  • Dead Dumbledore in the tomb
  • Nagini
  • Bellatrix holding Harry
  • Harry and Ron Fighting
  • The Seven Potters
  • The Wedding
  • Harry and Hagrid driving through Hogwarts
  • Snape meeting with Voldemort
  • Death Eaters at Malfoy Manor
  • Death Eaters congregating
  • Rufus Scrimgeour
  • Harry and Hagrid on the motorbike.

Guys, you have to listen to it!!!
I really hope WB put those footages online. They should release it! We already know they’re going to show like a million clips by the time November rolls around.
I hope someone recorded it & posted it on youtube. I'm so going to download it if I've seen any of the clips!! If anyone manages to see this on youtube or someplace else, SAVE IT to your computer, upload it to megaupload or something like that and post the link here. Just in case WB decides to take the clip off the interweb

This makes me depressed. Do you all realize that we only have 12 more months of this? That after this year there won’t be any more trailers or pictures or sneak peaks to analyze? I want to cry…

Dan confirmed star in 'The Women in Black'

A number of casting rumours had surfaced over the weekend that Dan Radcliffe would be starring in a 2011 film adaptation of The Woman in Black. We can now report that this rumour is actually true, thanks to our Order Partner DanRadcliffe.com who obtained confirmation from an official press release at HeyUGuys.co.uk. Producer Simon Oakes is quoted saying he can think of "no better actor to play the role of Arthur Kipps" than Daniel Radcliffe. Director James Watkins also spoke about the Harry Potter actor:
“’When I met Dan, it was quite uncanny how closely our thoughts on the story mirrored each other: I can’t wait to get down to work with him to fashion a compelling character and a classy ghost story that tugs at the heart and chills to the bone,” says James Watkins.

Radcliffe himself described Jane Goldman's script as "beautifully written - both tender and terrifying in equal measure" and said that he was "incredibly excited" to be a part of the film. According to the press release, production on "The Woman in Black" is due to begin this autumn. The film is produced by Simon Oakes for Exclusive Media Group's Hammer Films label and Richard Jackson at Talisman Films.

Arthur Kipps is a young lawyer who glimpses a woman dressed entirely in black as he works in the isolated home of a recently deceased client. A stage play adaptation of the thriller has been running in London's West End since 1989.

Congrats to him. Wish him tons of luck.

ABC Family Airs New DH Cast Interviews and Footage

They should make a film about the shooting of DH! And not just bonus materials of 10-15 minutes for the DVD but a whole film! Probably 40-60 minutes!!!! It would be so great! :)
by Pollymat

Holy damn!Accio November!
So much footage of the Battle of Hogwarts being shot…aaahh.

Also the battle looks amazing!!!! So much action! Emma is right, we will be holding our breathes. ^~^
You can see Neville with the sword at 1:38!
I think the part where Ron and Hermione are sitting on the steps of Hogwarts could be after Fred died. Maybe Hermione is confronting Ron?
Exciting!!

Bonnie Wright discusses DH

In a new interview with MTV Bonnie Wright discusses the filming of the epilogue in "Deathly Hallows":

"It wasn't my last scene, but it was one of my last scenes. That's where I started the journey of 'Harry Potter,' on the platform, and then to see the girl who's playing our daughter was just psychologically, it was very weird, because she's the same age as me. It was literally having a whole cycle of the journey."

It’s a lovely view with her cycle where HP started and ended for her (and Ron too).

Fun on the Set Video from LEGO Game

It's a short, funny behind the scenes look at the first four movies, that mostly shows the Harry Potter actors goofing off between takes.

All of them are so adorable!! Dan nicking stuff, Emma accidentally destroying props, Rupert & Dan playing around like other kids did, Emma playing pranks on Alfonso (director of POA) & Dan looks like he had so much fun doing those stunts ^^
I would love to see more!

It’s nice to see how much fun they had on set. they really are a family, and it is really sad it is now over.

I can’t wipe the goofy smile on my face and I’m still laughing myself, silly!!

Official DH One Sheet Teaser Poster Released!!

Wow! This is depressing yet beautiful! I absolutely love it!

And mugglenet pointed out that it’s a lot like the one for Philosopher's Stone. The Philosopher's Stone one says the magic begins and then here’s this one saying it all ends here. Perfect!
