"I nearly killed myself -- on the day that I died."

RottenTomatoes.com has a new profile online of actress Helena Bonham Carter (Bellatrix Lestrange) which features some new details of her character in the Harry Potter final film. The actress relates the following in the interview:

And it'll be quite the moment, she explained. "I do get a good death scene," she told us. "It was really exhausting. As usual! [I'm] duelling, with a wand, on a table. I fell right off. I was clever enough to say, 'If you're going to ask me to duel, backwards, can we put a stuntman at the end?' They said, 'Ah, you won't need one.' And what did I do? Walked straight off.
"You'd think with 70 people looking at you, one of them would go, 'Er, could you stop?!' No! They loved it. I nearly killed myself -- on the day that I died."

She continues, speaking to the kind of character she created for Bellatrix, a character which "wasn't on the page." Quoteage
:I did think, What can I do to make this interesting? She was just written as tall and gaunt, but I knew there was something I got attracted to -- playing arrested development. You know, children. Bellatrix is another child -- stuck and totally anarchic."

Best line!

"It was fun being 17" said Helena

Actress Helena Bonham Carter has given an interview in which the Bellatrix Lestrange actress spoke briefly of the role of her character in the "Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows" films. Describing Bellatrix as a "horrible... not a cuddly, creature," she goes on to say:

She is sort of Voldemort's right hand woman and she's sadistic and I've killed. I do really horrible things... I killed Sirius Black ages ago. I kill Dobby in this one, and I torture Hermione.

The report continues with additional quotes from Ms. Bonham Carter about her experience playing Hermione acting as Bellatrix during the Gringotts Break In sequence, as well as the reasoning behind this decision. Quoteage:

After J.K. Rowling wrote the scene in the final "Potter" book, the film series' producers were faced with a difficult question: Was it preferable to use makeup and CGI to make Watson look like Bonham Carter, or have the older actress act like the younger?

"Rather than put Emma Watson in a helluva load of make-up they just said, 'Now you go act like Hermione,' " Bonham Carter said of their decision. "That was fun, because I always wanted to be Hermione. "It was great fun," she said of the scene. "[I was] looking at Dan [Radcliffe] and Rupert [Grint] and they were treating me as if I was 17."
It was fun being seventeen.

The interview continues with Helena Bonham Carter describing her admiration for the Trio; actors Dan Radcliffe (Harry Potter), Emma Watson (Hermione Granger), and Rupert Grint (Ron Weasley); as well as the stores she finds her often unique and offbeat clothes.

The actress comments on the placement of the Malfoy Manor sequence in the final films, relating that her appearance comes in Part Two. MTV reports:
"I can't remember where they are going to cut," she explained, then remembered. "Yeah, [the scene is] definitely in the second one, because all of my stuff is in the second one. So you won't see me until 2011."

Can’t wait to see DH!!! Helena is a genius actress.
When she plays Bellatrix she’s pure evil. I love it.
It’s going to be very sad to see her torture Hermione. That part was cringe-worthy in the book. BTW, poor Dobby.

Stuart Craig Featured in The Telegraph

A new article in The Telegraph about Stuart Craig, the production designer on the Harry Potter films. The interview covers Craig's daily routine, his favourite props, favourite film and even has a small picture of a map of Hogwarts drawn by J.K.Rowling, the "first document from the very first day of the very first coming-together of the book, the author and the movies, more than 10 years ago."

The production designer also briefly mentions "Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows" throughout the article, such as when he talks about the "new Snitch that miraculously opens up to reveal the Resurrection Stone" created for the seventh film. Quotage:

The last time I cried was a few days ago when we filmed the death of Alan Rickman's character, Snape. It's quite difficult to cry in rushes - where we watch the previous day's work - but he is an extraordinary actor and he dies an extremely good death. I don't cry out loud, I have to say, but I do get a wet cheek.

[On life after Harry] I really am glad to have worked on the Potter films and in 10 years it has never seemed repetitive. After it all comes to an end, and I'm at home, I'm sure I'll be grumpy for a few weeks because people won't be interested in what I think any more. But I'm sure I'll get used to that.

Tom: DH Epilogue Likely to be Final Sequence Shot

An interview with Tom Felton (Draco Malfoy) has appeared on the MTV website, in which he mentions the filming of the epilogue scene in "Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows." Felton suggests that the epilogue will be the final sequence shot, commenting:

Jamie Christopher, the first [assistant director], was always really keen to do that as the final scene, because it's such a poignant moment for the franchise, that fact that it's 19 years on, and we get to see what happened to the characters.

"Daniel and I have been talking about it for ages, and we are excited to see what we look like 19 years later," Felton said. "We want to make sure that it's flattering and we don't look like 60-year-olds."

He was still recovering from the muscle-bruising effects of some "Deathly Hallows" stunt work. "I'm afraid to say riding a broomstick is no easy task," he laughed to MTV News. "They strap you in well and truly."

WWTP ad + flying tour

Universal Orlando Resort gave word that this commercial for the Harry Potter theme park will be featuring “Be Courageous. Be Outrageous. Be Extraordinary.” theme, and would give new and expanded views at the theme park.

As part of this update, expanded descriptions and new looks at the various elements of the Harry Potter park are also online. This includes descriptions of Honeydukes, Dervish and Bangs, Ollivanders, Zonko's, the Owl Post, and the Three Broomsticks.
A stunning flying tour of the entire attraction has also been added to the site, which walks you through the shops of Hogsmeade and through the gates to the Hogwarts Castle.

The site looks incredible!
I'm hoping for an awesomeness beyond all awesomeness.

Trio on Top Hollywood Earners of 2009

Actors Dan Radcliffe (Harry Potter), Emma Watson (Hermione Granger), and Rupert Grint new list published by Vanity Fair.

Miss Watson, ranked in 14th place, is the top female earner on the list, as well as also the youngest person to be included, says an article in the Telegraph.

Dan Radcliffe, who is the highest paid actor, and Rupert Grint also made the list in 6th and 14th place, respectively.

The trio, who are next slated to star together in "Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Parts One & Two," join such other big Hollywood names as director James Cameron, actor Ben Stiller, producer J. J. Abrams, and actor Denzel Washington on the Vanity Fair list.

from TLC

Go Emma! That’s quite a distinction, being the top female earner & the youngest person to make the list.
Dan and Rupert deserve the big bucks, too – it really wouldn’t be the same without the three of them!

TRIO talk about filming 7 POTTERS & SILVER DOE scenes

Emma Watson
To kiss Rupert in front of cameras will stay the strangest experience for me, since I've played in Harry Potter. Him and I was frightened about this scene, and would like to do it quickly. But the hardest is coming ... I have to kiss Dan ! It's a scene where Ron imagine a kiss between Harry and Hermione."

"We haven't filmed the epilogue yet, in which we can see the future of Harry, Ron and Hermione 19 years later. At the beginning, producers would like to replace us, but they finally kept us. We will look like 40 years old persons. I'm very impatient to see that !"

Daniel Radcliffe

"In the Deathly Hallows, you'll see Harry as you never saw him before ! For example, I shot a scene where i'm entirely naked. When I read the script, I thought that I would carry underwears but no ! I've already done it for Equus so it wasn't so difficult. I'm wondering how people will react, even if any things will be hidden in the screen !"

"Recently, we've finished a scene in which I had difficulties. It's the 7 Potter's scene ! We had to shoot a take where I was a different Harry instead of the other actors. It was fun, but very hard, because sometimes, I forgot who I had to be ... That made me crazy !"

Rupert Grint

"We shot a lot of physical scenes. For Daniel, filming was very complicated. But he never complained ... When he became sick because of filming conditions, he was ok and he never complained ..."

Every interview makes me more excited for DH.
I really can’t wait for the film to come out! It's going to be TOTALLY AWESOME.
Glad that they are using them for the epilogue.
I know some of the HP fans are a bit annoyed with Dan naked in the scene but I think it is just a bonus just like the 3D rumor. DH will still be the BEST without 3D or the naked Dan.
I am so not giving a damn on those bonus WB uses to gain the "Muggles" attention.

Btw, I am waiting or looking for the official countdown clock for the release of DH ^^
